Rod Ends

Rod ends, also known as heim joints or rose joints, are mechanical connecting elements consisting of a housing with an integrated spherical plain bearing. They are used to connect shafts, rods, or cylinders and allow pivoting, tilting, and rotational movements. Techniparts supplies rod ends with male or female threads, available in both right-hand and left-hand threads, and in versions with or without seals. In addition, maintenance-free, stainless steel, and coated variants are available for demanding environments such as the offshore industry.
Our rod ends guarantee high quality and reliability, comparable to brands such as SKF, INA Elges, and LS Bearings.

What is a Rod End?

Rod ends are commonly used to connect two shafts together — for example, on the arm of an excavator or in other applications where a flexible connection is required. We supply rod ends that can be welded or threaded, available with both external (male) and internal (female) threads. A rod end with an internal thread is equipped with locking screws that secure the screw connection for greater strength and stability.
