Gland Packings

A gland packing, also known as packing cord, grease cord or compression packing, is a sealing rope used between a rotating shaft and a housing to prevent leakage of fluids such as oil or water. The material is installed in rings or windings around the shaft, for example in a pump, where it provides an effective seal and prevents fluid from escaping along the shaft. Techniparts supplies gland packings in various materials and designs, suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
