Kluber bonded coatings offer:
Extended service life: our special low-friction coatings optimize the friction coefficients and sliding properties of components and reduce maintenance costs
High hygiene and safety requirements: While lubricants can drip from the point of friction, glued coatings form a solid and clean layer.
High thermal stability: bonded coatings can be used at temperatures above 300 °C.
High-quality solutions: competence and expertise gained through more than 90 years of research and industrial experience
Bonded coatings, or anti-friction tribo coatings, form a uniform, dry and low-friction lubricating layer on various materials and components.
A glued coating has a composition similar to that of a colored paint. However, instead of the colored pigments, it contains one or more solid lubricants.
The main components of a low-friction bonded coating are:
Solid lubricants: polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), molybdenum disulphide (MoS2), boron nitride, graphite, or a combination of several solid lubricants
Binder: organic or inorganic consists of 1 or 2 components
Solvent: organic or water.
Dry lubrication is always a good choice for industrial applications that require a clean, lifetime lubricant. Bonded coatings can also be used for both particularly low and high temperatures above 300 °C.
Unlike other lubricants, a bonded coating or anti-friction coating offers the advantage of forming a uniform adhesive layer on the part. The clean lubricating layer, which cannot be washed off and does not need to be renewed (i.e. lifetime lubrication), optimizes your production conditions and helps to efficiently reduce your maintenance costs.
The advantages of Kluber Bonded Coatings:
Covers components completely and forms a uniform lubrication layer
No contamination due to dry lubrication
Reduction of friction and constant coefficients of friction
Preventing or reducing noise (no stick-slip)
Suitable for particularly high and low temperatures
Reliable lifetime lubrication
Our product range includes bonded coatings for metal surfaces as well as plastics and elastomers.
