O-Rings
The emergence:
Niels Christensen invented the O-Rings, He invented the o-ring while working on the development of automotive braking systems. Christensen received a patent for his O-ring in 1937, however, manufacturers were not interested until World War II broke out. He sold his o-ring to the military. This “simple” O-ring ensured that the then still complex technology advanced rapidly. The O ring rubber epdm as a seal is indispensable in today’s technology.
The O Ring:
The O-ring is currently the most widely used seal in the world. They are fairly easy to make and assemble.
You indicate the size of an o ring rubber by means of the inner size (ID) and cord thickness (CS).
O-rings are available in different elastomers (rubber types) and hardnesses (Shore).

We also provide o-rings with a coating. An o-ring coating is used as an assembly aid or to reduce friction. Coating options: Silicone grease, ptfe, teflon, molykote, talc.

A common type are the epdm o rings. This is because o rings epdm have good properties.
Chemical resistance of o-rings:
The choice of the right o ring rubber also depends on what it comes into contact with. We help you with this choice. We also carry out research on the o-ring.
